Trust & Field Rules

The site helps identify and route field problems. It does not approve changes.

Rule 1

Plans/specs/code win

TinnerFlow does not override plans, specs, approved submittals, code, manufacturer instructions, or foreman direction.

Rule 2

Ask before modifying

Ask before cutting, drilling, rerouting, blocking access, covering dampers, changing hanger/support layout, or modifying duct in the field.

Rule 3

High-risk items slow down

Fire/smoke dampers, grease duct, rated walls, seismic bracing, structural attachments, and equipment clearances are not guesswork.

Rule 4

Use the Field Rescue button

If you are stuck, search the 648-answer verified starter bank first so you can ask a better question before making a field move.

Answer status labels

What the labels mean

TinnerFlow does not pretend every field condition has one universal answer.

Verified starter

Good field starter guidance. Still verify job rules and foreman direction.

Needs journeyman review

Useful route, but should be polished with field-specific trade input before treated as final.

Project-specific route

Exact answer depends on approved drawings, specs, manufacturer instructions, code/AHJ, or pressure/seismic/rated details.

Code/manufacturer-dependent route

Used for dampers, grease duct, rated assemblies, manufacturer systems, and other high-risk work.

Legal & safety guardrails

Field reference, not approval

TinnerFlow includes a site-wide safety disclaimer, terms of use, privacy policy, and footer links so users see the core boundary: the app helps them identify, verify, and ask — it does not approve work.
