Do not argue in front of the owner. Acknowledge it, write the exact item/location, commit to a fix path through the foreman/PM, and follow up in writing.

Take a photo after the walkthrough if allowed.
Do not blame or debate publicly.
Tell foreman/PM what was found and what was previously marked complete.
Track the fix and recheck it before calling done again.
