Stop. Get direction before you touch it.
Weigh or calculate the load before rigging anything overhead. Sheet metal duct weighs more than it looks - a 10' section of 48x24 duct can exceed 100 lbs. Use proper rigging rated for the load with a safety factor of at least 4:1.
