Pittsburgh and Snap-Lock Seams

A Pittsburgh seam has a pocket and a locking flap that gets seated and hammered closed. Snap-lock has formed edges that click together. Both are longitudinal seams, but they assemble and behave differently.

Seat the seam before locking it. If you close the seam before it is fully seated, the rest of the duct fights you.
