Clean metal chips before handoff. Chips left in duct, on roof/floor, or above ceiling become rust, noise, punctures, or punchlist items.

Check roof membrane, ceiling grid, finished floors, and insulation.
Remove chips from collars and dampers before connecting.
Recheck after drilling overhead.
