What do I check for finish work: volume damper handle: do not hide it?

A damper that cannot be reached is a future callback. Finish work should leave the balancing point visible, reachable, labeled when required, and not buried above finished ceiling with no access path.

Face handles toward the access side when possible and approved.
Avoid burying handles behind insulation, grid, framing, or other trades.
Label/access per project rules where needed.
Take a photo if the damper will be above closed ceiling.
Ask before moving a balancing damper from the shown location.

Why it matters

Finish work is where rough-in becomes visible, inspected, balanced, serviced, and turned over. Clean install and access matter.
