Another apprentice or helper told me to do something that seems wrong
Apprentice Workflow / Communicationyellow
You are allowed to double-check. Do not argue the trade in public; verify the drawing/spec/site rule and bring the question to a journeyman or foreman cleanly.
Compare it to the drawing, spec, manufacturer instruction, or known job rule if available.
Ask a journeyman/foreman with the exact action and location.
Keep the tone about verifying the work, not proving someone wrong.
Ask foreman
I was told to [action] at [location], but I want to verify it because [reason]. Is that the correct method for this job?
Do not
Do not blindly follow peer direction if it affects safety, access, seal, support, rating, or inspection. Do not start a crew argument.
Why it matters
A lot of apprentice mistakes come from copying confident bad habits. Verification is not disrespect.
