Verify before you commit. Cheap to catch now.
Check that the S/slip is seated, drives are fully seated, ends are finished, corners are closed, sharp edges are controlled, sealant is correct, and support is not pulling the joint open.
Make the metal fit right before sealing, insulating, or moving on. S-and-drive problems usually come from alignment, seating, support, damage, or wrong connector pattern.
