What do I check for finish work: volume damper handle: do not hide it?
A damper that cannot be reached is a future callback. Finish work should leave the balancing point visible, reachable, labeled when required, and not buried above finished ceiling with no access path.
Stop if TAB will need this damper. Is this handle orientation/access acceptable before I close up the ceiling?
Watch out Stop if a balancing damper, fire/smoke damper, actuator, access door, or cleanout will become unreachable after finish work.
Check Face handles toward the access side when possible and approved. Avoid burying handles behind insulation, grid, framing, or other trades. Label/access per project rules where needed. Take a photo if the damper will be above closed ceiling. Ask before moving a balancing damper from the shown location.
