VAV Reheat Coil Piping and Access Coordination

Before fixing the VAV route, confirm the reheat-coil piping side, valve package, drain/vent needs, controls access, insulation space, and ceiling access.

Stop if

• The reheat coil connections face [direction]. Does piping have a clean route and service access here, or should we rotate/reposition the box before hanging it?

Watch out

• Do not lock the VAV against a wall or beam before piping and controls confirm their access.

Check

• Use the approved VAV/reheat submittal and coordination set
• Confirm coil connection side and actual piping approach
• Leave room for valves, unions, strainers, actuators, sensors, and insulation
• Protect required straight inlet and service clearance
• Identify who owns condensate or drain requirements when applicable
