VAV Box Inlet and Outlet Orientation
VAV boxes have specific inlet/outlet configurations. Reversing causes airflow and controls issues.
Stop if
- Confirm which connection is inlet from main and which is outlet to branches. Verify before connecting.
Watch out
- Don't assume inlet and outlet interchangeable. Don't connect without checking airflow arrow. Don't force misaligned connections.
Check
- Port marked inlet vs outlet?
- Arrow matches drawing airflow?
- Damper blade oriented correctly?
