Definition
What the word means. This is not a work instruction.
A VAV box controls airflow to a zone. It usually has an inlet, discharge, damper, controls, actuator, access side, and sometimes a reheat coil. It must be supported and installed with access and airflow in mind.
The access side matters. If controls face the wrong wall or another trade blocks the panel, the install can fail even if the duct fits.
