Two Trades Need the Same Space
Stop the affected work, document the exact clash, and compare both trades against the current coordinated set before anyone reroutes in the field.
Stop if
- Duct and [trade] occupy the same space at [grid/elevation]. The coordinated set shows [condition]. Do we hold, reroute, or send an RFI?
Watch out
- Do not move, cut, disconnect, or build around another trade's work without coordination and approval.
Check
- Mark room, grid, elevation, and clash dimensions
- Photograph both systems and nearby constraints
- Verify drawing revision and installation status
- Identify fixed constraints such as slope, clearance, access, and rated assemblies
- Bring one or more workable options to the foreman without moving another trade's work
