Two duct sizes show on the same run and I do not know which applies
A duct main may reduce after branches take air out. Find the transition/reducer and confirm which side you are installing before grabbing material.
Watch out
- Do not install a whole run from one duct-size label.
Check
- Find the transition/reducer or branch point on the print.
- Read upstream and downstream duct sizes separately.
- Check shop drawing piece marks if material is staged.
- Measure the field piece before hanging.
- Ask if the size change point is unclear.

Say this to your foreman
This run shows [size] and [size]. Where does the transition happen, and which size applies to my piece at [location]?
