The GC or another trade tells me to move duct but it creates an access problem
Do not argue and do not move it blindly. Pause, name the access/TAB/code problem, and loop in your foreman before changing the route.
Stop if
- The GC asked us to move this duct [amount/direction], but it will block [damper/access/TAB/service]. Can you confirm the route before I move anything?
Watch out
- Do not accept a field direction that creates a hidden access or inspection problem without your foreman's approval.
Check
- Acknowledge the request without committing.
- Identify what access, damper, TAB, service, or inspection issue the move creates.
- Take a photo and measurement.
- Tell the GC you need to loop in your foreman because it affects access/coordination.
- Bring your foreman the options.
