Start at the complaint and trace backward. Check the diffuser/boot, flex, branch, damper, device tag, leakage, and any recent field changes before blaming the unit or design.
Use symptom language first: no air, too much air, whistle, rattle, short CFM, closed damper - then translate it into an install check.
