Supply, Return, Exhaust, and Outside Air

Supply duct sends conditioned air into rooms. Return duct brings building air back to the unit. Exhaust duct removes air from a space. Outside air duct brings fresh air into the system.

The system name matters because sealing, insulation, slope, material, access, and code requirements can change by air stream.
