Screw holes or unused holes not sealed

Treat wrong screw holes and unused penetrations as possible leak paths. Mark it and ask how the foreman wants it patched/sealed.

Stop if

• I put a screw hole in the duct face here. Do you want it sealed, patched, or left for inspection before repair?

• Do not hide an accidental hole without telling the foreman.

• Stop making more holes.
• Leave the screw/condition visible until someone verifies it unless directed otherwise.
• Mark or photograph the hole location.
• Ask whether to seal, patch, or replace.
• Use only the approved repair method.
