Saddle taps must be oriented correctly for airflow and structural integrity.
Stop if
- Saddle tap on round main: top or side? Need reinforcement collar or support for this branch size?
Watch out
- Don't install on bottom of supply ducts. Don't cut without verifying reinforcement. Don't use tap too large for main diameter.
Check
- Tap on top or side (not bottom for supply)?
- Oriented with airflow?
- Cutout clean and reinforced?
