Remove Transport Bracing Without Deforming the Fitting
Support the fitting in its installed shape before removing transport bracing. Cut or unfasten the brace without prying against the duct skin, connector, liner, or reinforcement.
Stop if The fitting is supported and aligned. This transport angle is welded at two points-how do you want it removed and the attachment spots finished?
Watch out Do not beat, twist, or pry the brace out against a flange or panel, and do not leave cut pieces or fasteners inside the duct.
Check Confirm the piece is at final support and no longer depends on the transport brace. Identify how the brace is attached and what surfaces could be damaged during removal. Control the loose brace so it does not fall into the duct or onto someone below. Inspect the fitting for racking, sharp edges, holes, and debris after removal.
