One room has too much air and the next room has too little
Treat room imbalance as a branch/damper/device investigation. Compare both branches before moving anything.
Stop if
- Room [A] is high and room [B] is low. Can I compare branches, dampers, flex, and device tags before anyone changes the unit?
Watch out
- Do not start closing random dampers to chase one room complaint.
Check
- Identify both rooms/devices and what branch/VAV serves them.
- Check damper positions and labels.
- Compare flex length, kinks, boot alignment, and device size.
- Look for wrong takeoff direction or swapped branch.
- Ask before changing damper settings or relocating taps.
