Not measuring diagonal clearance for large fittings
Measure diagonal clearance for large fittings, not just straight width and height.
Stop if
- Can this fitting physically pass and rotate into place from this path?
Watch out
- Do not assume a big fitting will fit because the final installed space is large enough.
Check
- Check the fitting's largest diagonal/swing path.
- Measure the route through doors/halls/ceiling openings.
- Account for insulation/flanges.
- Plan how the fitting will rotate into place.
- Ask before staging if it may not fit.
