Not knowing what to do when the lift alarm or controls act wrong
If a lift alarm, control, brake, steering, or emergency lowering acts wrong, stop using the lift and report it.
Stop if
- This lift alarm/control is acting wrong. Do you want it held out of service?
Watch out
- Do not keep using a lift with questionable alarms or controls.
Check
- Lower safely if possible.
- Move to a safe position.
- Stop use and notify foreman.
- Tag/hold the lift per site rules.
- Do not use again until checked by the right person.
