Not knowing what to do when the lift alarm or controls act wrong

If a lift alarm, control, brake, steering, or emergency lowering acts wrong, stop using the lift and report it.

Stop if

• This lift alarm/control is acting wrong. Do you want it held out of service?

Watch out

• Do not keep using a lift with questionable alarms or controls.

Check

• Lower safely if possible.
• Move to a safe position.
• Stop use and notify foreman.
• Tag/hold the lift per site rules.
• Do not use again until checked by the right person.
