Not inspecting scissor lift/boom lift before use

Inspect the lift before use and report anything wrong before you are in the air.

Stop if

• This lift has an issue. Do you want it held out of service before anyone uses it?

Watch out

• Do not use a lift with bad controls, alarms, leaks, damaged rails, or questionable function.

Check

• Do the required pre-use inspection.
• Check controls, tires, guardrails, gates, alarms, batteries/fuel, leaks, and emergency lowering.
• Test function in a safe area.
• Confirm authorization/training.
• Report defects before use.
