Tell someone or document it before you close it up.
Not documenting hanger issue before cover-up
A hanger issue that gets covered without documentation becomes harder to find, harder to prove, and harder to fix later. Document it while the ceiling is still open.
Do not cover a hanger issue without at least a photo and a clear conversation. 'I thought it was fine' is not documentation.
Check
Take a wide photo that shows location context and a close photo that shows the exact hanger issue.
Note the grid, room, floor, or area so someone can find it again without guessing.
Describe the issue specifically: rod too short, wrong anchor, hanger spacing too wide, strap crushing duct, missing support, wrong rod/strap size, or questionable substrate.
Mark the physical location with tape or a tag if the ceiling is closing soon.
Bring the photo and description to the foreman and confirm whether it gets corrected now, tracked as punch work, or accepted with direction.
Do not let ceiling close over a known hanger issue without a decision.

Say this to your foreman
I have a hanger issue at [location] - [describe specifically: rod too short / wrong anchor / spacing too wide / strap crushing corner / missing support]. I have photos. Do you want it corrected now before the ceiling closes, or tracked as a punch item?
