Not deburring cut metal
Deburr the cut edge before the duct, flex, liner, insulation, or your hands touch it. Sharp burrs create cuts, torn liner, bad fit-up, and ugly finish work.
Watch out Do not leave sharp edges where flex, liner, insulation, wire, or hands will touch them.
Check Run your glove lightly near the edge without dragging skin across it. Remove burrs with the approved hand tool/file/deburring method. Check both inside and outside edges - especially spiral and takeoff openings. Clean metal chips before the area gets covered or handed off.

Say this to your foreman This cut edge still has burrs. Do you want me to deburr and clean it before we connect/cover it?
