Verify before you commit. Cheap to catch now.
Bring the flange together evenly: leaving bolt heads/screws interfering with insulation. Start hardware in a balanced way and do not twist the flange or crush the gasket.
Check hardware orientation before insulation. Bolt heads or screws sticking the wrong way can create ugly cover-up and vapor-barrier problems.
