I moved a seismic brace and I am not sure I put it back right
Stop and report it. Do not keep adjusting it yourself. A brace can look close but be wrong if the angle, direction, anchor, or load path changed.
Stop if
- I moved/loosened this brace and I am not sure it went back to the approved angle. Can you verify it before we continue?
Watch out
- Do not hide, cover, insulate, or load the area around a brace you moved until it is verified.
Check
- Stop work in the immediate area.
- Do not cover, insulate, tighten, bend, or re-angle it again without direction.
- Take wide and close photos showing the current brace, anchor, clamp, and angle.
- Tell the foreman exactly what changed and wait for qualified verification.
