How do I teach a first-year who keeps doing it wrong?
Slow down, show one step at a time, ask them to repeat the why, then watch one full rep before leaving them alone.
Stop if
- Can I show them one correct rep, have them do one while I watch, and then check back before they continue?
Watch out
- Do not just get louder, do it for them, or walk away after they failed the same step twice.
Check
- Name the mistake without roasting them.
- Show the correct sequence once slowly.
- Explain the reason in one sentence.
- Have them do it while you watch.
- Ask them to explain the check-back before repeating solo.
