How do I identify a 2-hour vs. a 1-hour fire wall on an architectural life-safety plan?

Go directly to the Life Safety / Fire Partition Legend Sheet at the start of the architectural drawing set. A 1-hour fire-rated partition is typically noted with a single dashed center line running through the wall symbol track. A 2-hour fire-rated partition is marked out using a distinct, heavier double-dashed pattern or a bolded solid continuous filled block pattern tracking through the room perimeter layout line.
