How do I calculate the center of gravity for an asymmetrical Make-Up Air Unit (MAU)?

An asymmetrical MAU usually houses heavy motors and compressors concentrated on one side. Look at the manufacturer's submittal layout drawing for the Center of Gravity (CG) stamp markings. When rigging, adjust the lengths of your lifting slings using adjustable rigging clutches or come-alongs so the lifting hook sits directly vertical above the true CG point , not the center of the physical box footprint. If the hook is misaligned, the unit will tip drastically when lifted.
