Floor QA Walk Guide
Use when you need a repeatable room-by-room QA walk before closeout.
You are assigned a floor/area QA, pre-cover, inspection, TAB, or punch walk.
Watch out
- Do not treat a checklist as approval.
- Do not skip foreman/PM direction when scope, safety, cost, or inspection is affected.
Check
- Wide location photo
- Close-up of issue
- Label/tag/drawing reference
- Punch/list note
Steps
- Walk by room/grid/system instead of memory.
- Pick a start point and direction.
- Check joints, supports, access, labels, finish, and damage.
- Document open items.
- Photo wide and close.
- Send punch list before cover/inspection.
