Field Photo Checklist
Use when the foreman asks for photos and you need them to actually explain the problem.
You need to send a field condition, damage, mismatch, material problem, access issue, or measurement to someone who is not standing there.
Stop if
- Use this whenever the answer depends on field condition and the decision maker is remote.
Watch out
- Do not send one mystery close-up.
- Do not send blurry photos from a moving lift.
- Do not hide damage or omit location.
Check
- Wide
- Close
- Measurement/reference
- Drawing/detail
Steps
- Take a wide photo, a close photo, and a measurement/reference photo.
- Wide: show room/grid and surrounding trades.
- Close: show the exact problem.
- Measurement: include tape, level, tag, or mark.
- Drawing/detail: include the print if it is a mismatch.
- Message: location + problem + what decision you need.
