Failed fire damper inspection: screws in blade path or access correction
Build a correction log. For each failed damper, record location, issue, owner, approved fix, before/after photos, and whether reinspection is required.
Watch out Do not casually remove fasteners, patch rated assemblies, or claim corrected without approved method and documentation.
Check Map each failed damper by room/grid/tag. Identify issue: screw/blade interference, missing access, covered label, blocked actuator, sleeve/angle question. Repair only with approved direction/manufacturer/AHJ requirements. Photo after correction and schedule/reconfirm reinspection if needed.
