Before You Send a Field Photo
Use this to send photos that actually help the foreman/detailer solve the problem.
You need to text/send a field condition, conflict, missing part, wrong fitting, access issue, or damage.
Stop if
- Use anytime the answer depends on field condition and someone not standing next to you needs to understand it.
Watch out
- Do not send a zoomed-in mystery photo with no context.
- Do not send blurry photos while climbing or operating equipment.
- Do not hide damage/conflict by choosing a flattering angle.
- Do not forget location and measurement.
Check
- Wide
- Close
- Measurement
- Drawing/detail
Steps
- Take one wide photo, one close photo, and one measurement photo.
- Wide photo: show the room/area/grid and surrounding trades.
- Close photo: show the exact problem.
- Measurement photo: include tape measure or marked reference.
- Drawing photo: show the print/shop detail if the issue is a mismatch.
- Add a short message: location, duct/system, problem, measurement, and what decision is needed.
- Send before you alter the condition.
