Stop before closing the shaft-side joint. Verify access to every required corner, cleat, bolt, gasket edge, seal point, and inspection surface while the section can still be positioned.
The riser joint fits, but the shaft-side corner and cleat cannot be reached after the section lands. I checked access from both floors. Do you want the joint orientation or installation sequence changed before we set it?
Watch out
Do not leave hidden hardware incomplete or assume sealant from the reachable side fixes an unmade joint.
Check
Dry-fit the section and identify the inaccessible side.
Check whether the joint can be completed from the floor above, floor below, or an approved access opening.
Verify connector and cleat orientation before raising.
Confirm whether installation sequence or a different approved joint location is required.
