A trapeze hanger uses threaded rods down from structure and a cross piece, often unistrut, under the duct. It supports the duct from below and lets the installer adjust elevation with nuts.
Cut rods with adjustment room. Keep enough thread for nuts and washers without leaving long spear rods hanging below.
