Do not install duct or hangers where they block required service access.
Check
Identify which access is blocked: filter access, coil pull, controls panel, drain pan, fan, motor, belt, or service side. Each one has a different consequence.
Check the submittal or manufacturer detail for required service clearance in front of the access point. Do not guess from what looks convenient in the field.
Determine what is blocking it: the duct run, a hanger rod, a trapeze, bracing, flex, piping, or another trade.
If the duct run blocks access, hold before finalizing hangers. The route or elevation may need to change before it becomes trapped.
If a hanger rod or trapeze blocks door swing or service clearance, check whether the support can move while still meeting spacing, load-path, and approved-detail requirements.

Say this to your foreman
The duct/hanger at [location] is blocking the [filter/coil/controls/fan] access on unit [tag]. The clearance looks like about [measurement] and the submittal/detail shows [required clearance]. Do you want this rerouted or re-supported before we finalize?
