A louver sleeve anchor cracks the edge of a CMU opening

Expansion anchors can blow out weak masonry near edges. Stop using that anchor point and switch to the approved anchor type and edge distance for the substrate.

Do not keep tightening an anchor that has already cracked the block edge.

Check

Inspect for cracked CMU, spalled face shell, or loose anchor movement.
Measure how close the anchor is to the edge.
Confirm wall type: hollow CMU, filled CMU, concrete, brick, or steel frame.
Use approved anchor type for edge distance and substrate.
Do not load the louver frame on cracked masonry.
