Before installing, check whether the fitting can physically swing, rotate, or slide into place.

Stop if

• Can this fitting physically swing into place, or do we need a different sequence/piece size?

Watch out

• Do not wait until the fitting is in the air to find out it cannot rotate into place.

Check

• Measure the fitting and the path.
• Check diagonal/swing clearance.
• Look for walls, beams, pipe, cable tray, and ceiling grid.
• Plan install sequence.
• Ask before hoisting a fitting that may not fit.
