A fitting can physically swing into place not checked
Before installing, check whether the fitting can physically swing, rotate, or slide into place.
Stop if
- Can this fitting physically swing into place, or do we need a different sequence/piece size?
Watch out
- Do not wait until the fitting is in the air to find out it cannot rotate into place.
Check
- Measure the fitting and the path.
- Check diagonal/swing clearance.
- Look for walls, beams, pipe, cable tray, and ceiling grid.
- Plan install sequence.
- Ask before hoisting a fitting that may not fit.
