    set tap flush

    square the throat and branch to the main

    clamp

    fasten evenly

    seal perimeter

  9. 9

    connect and support branch.

Quality check

  • Tap sits flat, branch is square, seal is continuous, opening is clean

Stop and verify

Stop if opening crosses reinforcement, seam, liner damage, damper, or another fitting
