Before you start
- Confirm pressure class, flange pattern, gasket, bolt set, branch load, and framed opening.
- Inspect flange flatness and bolt holes.
- Verify the collar and mating flange are compatible.
- Support the branch independently.

- The branch is independently supported.
Common mistakes
- Using the wrong bolt pattern.
- Pulling misaligned flanges together with bolts.
- Skipping gasket.
- Loading the collar with branch weight.
Stop and ask
Stop if pressure class, flange pattern, gasket, bolt set, or framed opening is unknown or mismatched.
