Before you start
- Use the exact manufacturer system, approved submittal, load table, anchor type, cable size, bracket, locking device, installation tool, and attachment method for the project. Do not mix components or guess a working load.
- Confirm the Fast Trak bracket size, track type, load, bracket orientation, rail attachment, drop length, and approved hardware.
- Inspect rails, brackets, locking features, and factory components for damage.
- Check that the bracket system fits the actual duct width and elevation.
Tools and materials
Approved Fast Trak rails, brackets, locking hardware, specified attachments, installation tools, level or laser, tape, lift, gloves, and isolation pads where required.
Lay it out
- Lay out the rail positions and bracket elevation from approved structure.
- Keep supports clear of duct joints and fitting bodies.
- Coordinate bracket projection with access and adjacent services.
Set and support it
- Install the prefabricated rails and brackets using the exact system sequence.
- Level the bracket before loading.
- Verify every locking feature is engaged.
Make the connection

Confirm the rail and bracket are the correct size.

Install the rail attachments and set approximate elevation.

Lock the bracket into the rail in the approved orientation.

Place the duct on the bracket.

Center the load and adjust the bracket evenly.

Complete all locks, stops, and retention features.

Release the lift and inspect for movement.
Check the install
- The bracket is level and fully locked.
- The duct is centered and the joint remains clear.
- The rail and bracket match the approved product.
- No field modification or mixed hardware is present.
- The support remains stable after loading.
Common mistakes
- Using a rail or bracket from another system.
- Field-drilling or cutting a bracket without approval.
- Loading before the bracket lock is fully engaged.
- Using the bracket to force duct elevation.
