Field Photo Checklist

Use when the foreman asks for photos and you need them to actually explain the problem.

First move

Take a wide photo, a close photo, and a measurement/reference photo.

Use when

You need to send a field condition, damage, mismatch, material problem, access issue, or measurement to someone who is not standing there.

Field steps

  1. Wide: show room/grid and surrounding trades.
  2. Close: show the exact problem.
  3. Measurement: include tape, level, tag, or mark.
  4. Drawing/detail: include the print if it is a mismatch.
  5. Message: location + problem + what decision you need.

Do not

  • Do not send one mystery close-up.
  • Do not send blurry photos from a moving lift.
  • Do not hide damage or omit location.

Ask when

Use this whenever the answer depends on field condition and the decision maker is remote.
