Photos to take
- Wide photo of truck/pallet/packaging.
- Close photo of damage.
- Model/serial/label photo.
- Delivery paperwork/BOL photo if allowed.
Before signing
- Ask if damage should be written on the receipt/BOL.
- Write only clear facts: dented corner, broken crate, wet packaging, missing panel.
- Hold equipment from install until foreman/PM direction.
Ask clean
This equipment arrived damaged at ____. Do you want me to note it on the delivery ticket and hold it before anyone signs?
Safety rule
This is a field checklist, not approval. Jobsite safety rules, approved drawings, specs, manufacturer instructions, AHJ/inspector requirements, and foreman/PM direction control the work.
